A hair transplant operation is an aesthetic surgery performed to restore and replace lost or diluted hair. The procedure involves the transplantation of tissue from the patient themselves, which forms the basis of plastic surgery. The objective of plastic surgery is to improve the patient’s appearance. Hair transplantation is one of the most necessary surgical procedures for achieving this objective. Patients who have been waiting a considerable length of time for a hair transplant are understandably eager to see results as soon as possible. The hair transplant growth chart is an invaluable tool at this stage.

Hair Transplant Process

In the first two weeks after hair transplantation, the small wounds in the newly transplanted area will begin to heal by forming a scab. During this period, the transplanted hair adheres to its new place and initiates the adaptation process. The typical growth cycle for hair is 1–2 cm per month. It is important to note that, during this process, the first-period hair extracted by the roots has not yet regained its natural form. It may be weaker than normal hair.

It is important to note that temporary loss in hair transplantation is a necessary process for hair strands to regain their normal growth form. This process typically starts approximately one month after the hair transplant operation. The start and end times of the temporary shedding process may vary from one individual to another. As of the second month, the temporary shedding ends, and hair follicles start to grow. By the fourth month, the hairs grow and begin to take on a certain shape. By the sixth month, the hair follicles have grown between 45 and 80 percent. The individual’s hair can be easily observed with the naked eye. The hair follicles become thicker and thicker and begin to take on their natural shape. After 12 months, your hair follicles will continue to grow naturally.
