I am just back from my surgery with The Mono Clnic in Izmir Turkey.
I have had a neck lift, arm lift and axilla lift.
From first pick up at the airport to the journey back to the airport the service was excellent.
The hotel we stayed in was very comfortable and the staff were lovely.
Pelin was my contact from the mono clinic and she was so kind and patient. Always available to answer questions or provide support.
The hospital where the surgery was performed was very clean and comfortable, I had my own room, en suite.
After all the formalities had been carried out, form filling, payment, and registration at the hospital, Pelin stayed with me until the time came for my consultation with my surgeon Dr Oben Karakus.
My surgeon was so nice and went through what would happen in surgery. He gave me confidence that my surgery would be a success.
Once I had my consultation, almost straight after I went down to the theatre.
Everyone was so nice and kind putting me at ease.
I awoke after my op and I had continuous pain medication and fluids. I was monitored closely and could call the nurse with a call button.
The next day I went back to the hotel. The wounds were painful but I was given pain medication.
The following day I was picked up in a taxi and taken to the mono clinic for a check up with my surgeon who explained about what had happened during my operation.
My wounds were cleaned and dressed.
Two days later I was concerned my compression garment was too tight so I messaged Pelin, she made an appointment at the clinic that day for me. A taxi again picked me up and bought me back to the hotel. The clinic redressed my wounds again and made me more comfortable.
I returned home after 7 days
So far my surgery looks really good I am still very swollen so am looking forward to seeing the result in a few weeks time.
