First Days After Breast Augmentation

You will go to the recovery room when your breast augmentation procedure is complete. There the anaesthetist will initiate your awakening process. Nurses will monitor you closely and monitor all bodily functions when you wake up. The first days after breast augmentation, under no circumstances should you drive by yourself. As you are under general anaesthesia, you will not drive safely.

After the procedure, there may be some tension in your breasts, and your chest area may be sensitive. It’s perfectly normal for your breast implants to appear a little higher and your nipples a little deeper. Your breasts and nipples will gradually change, heal and take a natural shape. Make sure to make yourself as comfortable as possible after the surgery. Choose loose clothing that you don’t need to pull over your head. It will be more difficult for you to move your arms, chest and stomach for the first few days. Therefore, ask a friend or family member to stay with you and help you for the first few days after surgery. 

Sleep After Breast Augmentation

Sleeping may be a little uncomfortable for you at first. We recommend sleeping in a sitting position at a 45-degree angle for two weeks. This will help reduce swelling. In any case, don’t lie on your stomach or side. It’s best to place an extra pillow behind or under your back. This gives support and prevents you from taking your side. Sleeping upright also contributes to this process.

Exercise After Breast Augmentation

Don’t exercise for six weeks after surgery. If you want to move, we recommend taking a walk. This also contributes to blood circulation. It’s essential to listen to your body when you continue to exercise.
